REAP perfects DevMan’s Pastel accounting and EFT integrations

The EFT integration functionality on DevMan has assisted us greatly in streamlining our financial processes and putting various checks and balances in place for the uploading, authorisation and automated payments of transactions. It has proved to be a huge time-saver, which would otherwise have been spent on making individual manual payments. EFT integration has paved the way for greater transparency, accountability and efficient management of each transaction, from start to finish. Time stamps for each activity makes auditing easy and helps us to identify and resolve errors quickly. The customisable search function and reporting templates make financial reporting accurate and stress-free. All in all a huge leap forward, with ever-present support from Kidz Africa.

A Long Journey

It’s with mixed feelings we write this post. Sadness tinged with excitement for Zaid Israel, who leaves the OSFSA after 16 productive years to expand his horizons, where he will no doubt apply his considerable talents in his new venture. Our association with Zaid goes back to the beginning of his tenure with the OSFSA in 1998. The OSFSA had opened their doors in South Africa in 1995 and required a grant management system. Zaid took up the challenge when he joined the Foundation and provided business analysis skills with founding CEO of Kidz Africa, James Kydd, who provided programmer/developer skills for the much needed system.  Sixteen years have gone by and the system remains a vital part of the OSFSA daily operation. More than that has been the friendship forged between Zaid and James and other members of the two companies.
From those early beginnings DevMan has undergone non-stop enhancements necessitated by the changes in philanthropy, the relentless IT industry changes and of course the needs of our ever growing user base. It is now the eminent philanthropy web software tool in South Africa. Uniquely, this South African product serves both sides of the spectrum including bursary management, grant making and fundraising.

MEDICLINIC recognizes Kidz Africa as a Top Service Provider of the year 2012

Mediclinic selects only a handful from its hundreds of suppliers to be recognized for outstanding service. Taken into account are such things as quality, service, commitment and cost effectiveness.

To be recognized for good service is particularly satisfying to us, as Kidz Africa is a small company when compared to most of their other service providers.
